AM Carpool Reminders (University): Important Information for Morning Drop-Off:
Lane Closure: When the outside lane is closed, please do not drive around the cones. This creates a safety hazard for both students and staff.
Tardy Policy: Tardies begin at 7:25 AM. Guardians must park, escort their child to the designated drop-off area, and sign them in.
Safety First: Please do not drop off your child when duty personnel are absent. This is a significant safety concern.
Traffic Flow: To ensure a smooth and timely drop-off, please: Arrive early to avoid delays. Refrain from using cell phones while in the drop-off line. Ensure your child is ready to exit the vehicle promptly.
University is hosting our annual Multicultural Night Tuesday, January 28 from 5-7 PM.

Attention Shreveport Community! University Elementary School is in need of a Crossing Guard directly across the school on Smitherman. Please apply TODAY! Must be able to pass a criminal background check, pass a drug screening, work 2 hours a day when school is in session, pay is $14.00/hour. 2nd nine weeks Honors Assembly at University Elementary will be on Thursday and Friday, January 23rd and 24th. Pizza with the principal for a straight A students will be Friday, January 24th.

Cane's Spirit Night will be Wednesday, January 22nd from 4-9pm. Don't cook, instead come to Cane's on Youree Drive to support University Elementary.
There will be no school at University Elementary on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Class Pictures will be Friday, January 17th. Students should wear their regular school unifrom for pictures.
University 4th and 5th grade parents: There was an error on the January Parent Calendar that showed honors assembly was on both Thursday and Friday. Honors for 4th and 5th graders is on Thursday 23rd 4th 10:00-11:00 & 5th 1:00-2:00.

Reminder that University is hosting Santa Shop on Tuesday, December 17th. The children can shop for friends and family. Everything is $2.00. The students will visit Santa Shop during their Enrichment time. This is always a favorite holiday tradition at University.

Thank you everyone who participated in our World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser! The winners were announced yesterday for them to receive their amazing prizes! 1st place Sarah Abdallah, 2nd Hunter Fletcher, 3rd place Christian Stier. And Mrs. Prymek's PreK class won a 5lb chocolate bar for selling the most candy per class!!!
